Thermal Mass Flow

FS-618Split Thermal Mass Flow Meter

The FS-618 separates the sensor and display for installations where local access or environmental conditions favor a remote interface. MEMS sensing and optimized flow structure provide stable gas-flow measurement with reduced pressure loss.

Application answers reviewed for compatibility, selection, installation and maintenance.

Why select the FS-618 split-type thermal gas mass flow meter over compact single-body meters?+

The FS-618 split-type design is advantageous when process piping is isolated inside enclosures or subjected to high ambient vibration. By separating the MEMS sensing block from the display controller, operators can monitor real-time gas flow and configure alarms safely from a remote panel. The FS-618 features improved full-scale zero-point stability compared to conventional thermal meters, with an accuracy rating of +/-1.5% FS and a 100:1 turndown ratio. Standard flow ranges span 0-100 L/min to 0-1000 L/min (0-60 m3/h). Its optimized internal flow channel significantly lowers pressure drop, saving compressor energy. Maximum pressure is rated up to 1.0 MPa. Cable extension limits and specific mounting hardware must be confirmed for the selected configuration.
