01

When clamp-on is valuable

Clamp-on sensors measure through the tube wall. They are attractive when contamination, corrosive liquids, pressure loss or process interruption must be minimized.

02

When inline is valuable

An inline measuring section provides a controlled acoustic path and can offer stable performance in compact tubing. It requires process connections and wetted-material review.

03

Conditions both approaches need

Transit-time measurement performs best with clean, bubble-free liquids and a fully filled tube. Tube material, wall thickness, installation position and upstream disturbances remain important.
